Cinque Terre

Cinque-Terre – The most beautiful coastline in Italy

Located in Liguria, the Cinque Terre (meaning “Five Lands”) is a coastal area in the northwest Italian region of Liguria. A group of five villages can be found in Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore, located in the western part of the province of La Spezia. These Cinque Terre towns began as mediaeval fortified settlements, each guarded by a castle overlooking the sea against Saracen raiders.

What is Cinque Terre well-known for? The stunning coastline, lovely beaches, colourful houses built into the cliffs, great hiking trails, breathtaking nature, and traditional Italian cuisine and hospitality. These factors combine to make the Cinque Terre one of the most popular regions in Italy to visit by yacht.
